Binghamton Senators defenseman Bobby Raymond assisted on a game-winner for the Florida Everblades for the second straight game Friday, this time Matt Marquardt's goal 13:49 into overtime.

That gave the Everblades a 4-3 win over the Las Vegas Wranglers in Game 3 of the Kelly Cup Finals and a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven championship series.

Game 4 is Tuesday in Florida.

Former B-Sens captain Ryan Keller scored a late empty-netter as his Oklahoma City Barons tied up the American Hockey League's Western Conference Finals with a 5-1 win over the Toronto Marlies Friday.

Game 3 of that series is Monday afternoon in Toronto.

The Eastern Conference Finals, for both the AHL and NHL, resume Saturday.

At 1 p.m., the New Jersey Devils host the New York Rangers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals with the series tied 1-1.

At 7:15 p.m., the Norfolk Admirals host the St. John's IceCaps in Game 2 of the Calder Cup Eastern Conference Finals with a 1-0 series lead.

Also Saturday, Finland hosts Russia and the Czech Republic takes on Slovakia in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship semifinals.

NHL Free Agency Speculation: Backup Goaltenders for the Pittsburgh Penguins

One of the Pittsburgh Penguins' biggest needs in this year's free-agency period is a backup goaltender.

Brent Johnson, the team's backup for the last three seasons, is likely to depart the organization as an unrestricted free agent. He had a disappointing year in 2011-12, going 6-7-2 with a .883 save percentage and 3.11 GAA. However, this was likely due to ongoing injury problems and an illness.

While it seems easy enough to promote prospect Brad Thiessen, it doesn't seem as though he is entirely ready for the role. Thiessen shined against weaker opponents such as the Columbus Blue Jackets and Winnipeg Jets, but got lit up against stronger competition in the Ottawa Senators.

So, assuming Ray Shero wants to sign a more experienced insurance policy for Marc-Andre Fleury, who should he pursue?

Here are six goaltenders who may be able to give Fleury some rest, which could ensure a more refreshed starter for the next postseason.

from Kerry Fraser of TSN, I have always admired the quiet leadership and aggressive, hard-hitting play that Dustin Brown has demonstrated throughout his NHL career, similarly to how I described Chris Neil of the Ottawa Senators in a previous column. Last night, the similarity between Brown and Neil did not just end with these admirable characteristics but also in a successful effort to draw a penalty by embellishing the push/shove of the stick by Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Brown?s reaction was not proportional to the force exerted by Ekman-Larsson but was rewarded with a power play in a city where Oscar?s are given for outstanding performances. Dustin Brown?s was not that deserving in this case. For tough, hard-nosed players such as Brown, Neil and others, it is most unbecoming when they employ this tactic.
